I spread Peacock Feathers, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks out onto my craft mat and pressed the "Mixed Flowers" background stamp from Hero Arts into it. After misting generously with water, I then stamped a few panels of watercolor paper.
After the panel had dried, I sliced it up into one inch blocks and sponged the edges with more Picked Raspberry ink. I'm thinking it would have looked better with purple edges, but at the time I really wanted the squares to appear to be glowing.
After arranging these on a white panel, followed by a white cardbase, I added a sentiment I cut out on my CAMEO using Silhouette Adhesive Cardstock in white, layered slightly offset over the same cut design in mint (this stuff makes it so much simpler to adhere layered "die cuts"). The finishing touches are some opalescent mini sequins and butterflies cut out of Silhouette Vellum.
Actually, after looking at my last photo again...I think I would have liked this card better as a 3x3 inchie square card instead...and I think I'll be performing card surgery tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by!
