I stamped the image and sentiment from the "Peaceful Petals" set from Stampin' Up (now retired) with Versamark ink on some watercolor paper, then added white embossing powder and heat-set it. Then I sponged Seedless Preserves, Broken China, and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks over the entire panel using an ink blending tool.
Using a Faber-Castell waterbrush, I removed the ink from inside the image borders by brushing on a little water and dabbing with a dry babywipe, leaving a pretty bleached image. I wanted to take the technique a little further, though, so I added lowlights to the flowers with a blue-violet water-based brush marker.
After spattering some water droplets over the entire piece, I mounted the panel on top of some dark navy cardstock (source unknown...came in SSS card kit though, so probably Bazzill?) and then onto a white cardbase. I'd love to hear your comments!
