I knew immediately that I wanted to use the "Beary Big Delivery" stamp for this challenge because I wanted to use twine to "sew" some ropes around my packages. Naturally, this turned into a Christmas card...and I'm thrilled to have a bit of a head start on them now this year!
I colored the image using Spectrum Noir markers, cut it out, and then popped it up over some blue cardstock. Using a Versamarker pen, I randomly tapped various sized dots on the background and embossed these in white to form the snowy scene. I then framed the image using a snowflake frame from the Silhouette Online Store cut in silver shimmer paper and layered over a bright blue mat layer. For a little more detail, I added some 3D Crystal Lacquer on the windows and silver metallic gel pen on the wheels and chrome trim.
To sew my ropes on, I just used a paper piercer to poke holes in the right spots and threaded my twine through. And I don't know about you, but it always seems like I have give this kind of twine a "haircut" after I've tied a bow or done some stitching with it! Speaking of, I wanted to add a little more twine to my card for this challenge, so I tied a triple loop bow in the corner. The finishing touches were some pretty Christmas patterned papers from American Crafts, a sentiment from Crafter's Companion, and a little white faux stitching using a gel pen.
Thanks for stopping by today! Your next stop is Pauline for another fabulous inspiration piece. Enjoy the rest of the blogs (you can jump back to the main page here if you get lost) and please do join us for this challenge!
I am also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
