I first inked up the Flower and Butterfly background stamp from Inkadinkado with Versamark ink and stamped this on some Neenah Solar White cardstock, followed by heat embossing in white. This would form my "cherry blossom" print when I stamped over it in colored inks. The fans were then stamped in Tempting Turquoise ink from Stampin' Up and I also added some flowers from the same stamp set in Real Red ink (SU) with a little masking.
After cleaning up the bit of extra ink on the white embossing with a paper towel, I layered this panel onto some Real Red cardstock and then onto a black card base. The sentiment was stamped on the same cardstock with Versamark ink, heat embossed in white as well, and popped up over the background using SU dimensionals. I finished off the card with a tiny baker's twine bow.
I hope you're seeing signs of Spring in your neck of the woods and I'd love to hear your comments!

I like how you changed that from light rays to fans! This looks really neat. I like the embossing very much.
ReplyDeleteThis is SO creative!! The fans are beautiful the way you stamped them over the white embossing! I got this kit and just might have to give your technique a try :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! Turned out great!
